I just wanted to comment that I sympathize with your frustration. It's so upsetting and disappointing to realize that the people who are supposed to be your peers are so often lacking in the dedication, maturity, and (sometimes) ability. Your colleagues are supposed to be there to support you, to create a network that makes a difficult job easier.
